Sam Gizzi

Sam Gizzi has over 30 years of healthcare administrative experience in financial analysis, budgeting, revenue cycle, managed care contracting, quality management, utilization management, customer service, administration, computer systems and business consulting services.

Sam’s healthcare leadership experience includes Director of a special healthcare plan, CEO of a Medicaid plan and CEO of a physician owned for profit hospital with a staff of 400 FTEs. This unique broad based experience enables him to fully understand both the provider side as well as the plan side of the healthcare administrative equation.

Sam received his Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Wayne State University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRI) from Michigan State University (MSU) and Accounting at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). Sam is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) currently licensed to practice in the State of Michigan. He is also a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) which is a nationally recognized certification in healthcare accounting and finance by HealthCare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Sam is a Fellow with both HFMA and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

In addition to a long and outstanding career in healthcare administration and consulting, Sam also has an accounting and tax practice in Michigan. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

Sam has served on the board of directors for two health care plans as well as several community organizations.
