Duanne Pearson

Duanne BioDuanne is a seasoned lobbyist with more than 20 years of experience in state, local and Congressional affairs. Prior to joining Strategic Health Care, Duanne served as the Vice President of Advocacy for Premier Inc. where he led the company’s efforts on Capitol Hill. Some of his accomplishments include leading Premiers efforts on the enactment of MACRA, achieving much needed legislative changes to Medicare readmissions penalty for hospitals, accomplishing a monumental working statutory fix to addiction privacy medical record law (42 CFR Part 2), helping shepard a collaborative effort with industry, legislators and HHS to achieve regulatory improvements for Stark and Antikickback Statute, working closely with House and Senate leadership to modernize public health data and the recent two year delay of the MACRA 50 percent threshold, in the December 2020 Omnibus Package.

His background also includes working in a Safety Net Health system in North Philadelphia; a leader and co-founder of the Coalition to Amend 42 CFR Part 2; serving as a senior advisor to the Health Equity and Leadership Engagement Network.  He too is the proud recipient of the 2012 James L. Scott Advocacy Award and co-recipient of the 2011 Delaware Valley Health Care Advocacy Award.
