Vice President of Government Relations
Will prior to joining Strategic Healthcare served as the Assistant Director of the Ohio Department of Health from June 2012 to October 2014. At different times during this position he was tasked with overseeing public health programs (maternal and child health, prevention and quality assurance) and administrative operations (including financial affairs, information technology, and human resources.
He worked with the Governor’s Office of Health Transformation on key legislative initiatives in areas of long term care reform, shared services, and mandating public health accreditation for all local health departments in Ohio. He participated in multiple biennial budget processes to reduce mandates in environmental health, nursing home regulation, and radiation protection. Will spent a total of 20 years in public health overseeing many public health functions.
Will received his bachelor’s degree in History and Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University. He earned his Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Strategic Planning from Hawaii Pacific University. Will also received a Doctor of Management degree in Organizational Leadership from the school of advanced studies at the University of Phoenix.
