In his position as a Healthcare consultant with over 35 years of experience in the healthcare field, David works closely with the Strategic Health Managed Care Team to develop Managed Care Networks for pre- and post-acute providers in the Midwest.
Prior to joining Strategic Health Care, David worked in the hospital sector for Ohio Health as an internal auditor and then the Director of Finance for the Hospice and Homecare Divisions. He went on to serve as the CFO for Wexner Heritage Village earning an Honorable Mention as the Business First CFO of the Year in 2013. During his time as CFO of Wexner, David oversaw the development of several projects on campus that include Wexner Village Hospice program (Zusman Hospice), a physician practice (Polster Medical Center) as part of a joint venture with a Hospital provider to develop the an on-site physician office, lab with radiology, a Dialysis Center (Sonia Modes Schottenstein Pavilion) and obtained financing for the $18M Creekside Independent and Assisted Living project . David’s other responsibilities included Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, cost reports, HUD refinancing’s, Managed Care contract negotiations, Compliance program development, Medical Record implementation, and Finance and Board Committee presentations.
David spent his last two years of his career as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning for National Church Residences. His responsibilities included the development of CCRC campuses in Florida and Ohio in addition to negotiating and analyzing the organizations managed care contracts. David retired from National Church Residences in 2016 before Strategic Health Care asked him to consult for them on a part-time basis
David graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Finance and Accounting and he is an Eagle Scout.
