Rick Carne, brings more than three decades of relevant work experience to the table, having served as a small business owner, corporate executive, an appointed and elected government official, a candidate for Congress, and a consultant.
For 17 years, Rick served as the key advisor to Ohio’s Third District Congressman Tony Hall. In his role as Advisor and Chief of Staff to Congressman Hall, Rick supervised legislation and the appropriations process and gained expertise in a variety of matters, including defense, technology, transportation, energy, education, and health care.
Rick also previously served as Montgomery County, Ohio Treasurer; he managed a $250 million portfolio on a daily basis — out-performing the marketplace, winning national awards, and simultaneously reducing costs.
As Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, for the Dayton Power and Light Company, he reported to the Chairman, President and CEO, directing their corporate foundation, advertising, government and public relations, and job creation programs, as well as the efforts to locate numerous foreign and domestic manufacturing facilities in 26 Ohio counties.
